Our cliënt offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools. There are more than 837,000  students at 3,000 schools in 139 countries. We are looking for an administrator for the Continuum Development Team . The continuum development team includes curriculum, special education, language and learning and research managers. From August 2010, the post of head of continuum development will be based in The Hague and the continuum development team will continue to work from Cardiff.

Wat ga je doen als administrator

The jobholder will work closely with the head of continuum development and provide administrative support for all areas of his/her work. This post also provides some general support to other members in the continuum development team. Key accountabilities include:

• Supporting the daily work of the head of continuum development and his/her team to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the team
• Drafting and typing letters, emails and reports and preparing presentations
• Managing the electronic diary for the head of continuum development
• Planning, organizing and minuting key internal and external meetings
• Checking and processing continuum expenses, including monitoring and tracking of costs against budget using excel
• Monitoring blogs and wikis, including uploading documents and files, as requested by the head of continuum development
• Involvement in project work or special events as defined by the head of continuum development
• Requesting travel arrangements for the head of continuum development and meeting participants through the travel department to ensure travel requirements are booked in a timely fashion and within budget
• Undertaking routine administrative tasks for including faxing, filing, photocopying, responding to emails and to telephone calls in order to ensure the efficient and effective running of the office
• Providing some secretariat cover when other colleagues are on leave
• Greeting visitors to the temporary office in The Hague and taking messages as needed for staff in the temporary office.

Waar voldoe je aan voor de functie van administrator

Essential knowledge, skills and experience are:

• a good level of general education (to at least A-level or IB diploma standard, or equivalent)
• proven experience in an administrative role. Experience of taking minutes at meetings would be an advantage
• good written and spoken English, you will be a good communicator and possess good interpersonal skills
• good organizational skills and an ability to prioritize your work effectively, you will be a self-starter, able to use once initiative to anticipate what needs to be done
• attentive to detail; work produced needs to be accurate
• strong IT skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and familiarity with blogs, wikis and virtual collaboration tools
• some experience of working with budgets.
